Creating Fidelitous Climate Data Records From Meteosat First Generation Observations

Abstract

This paper outlines methods and quality control measures developed to construct high-fidelity Climate Data Records (CDRs) from long-term Meteosat First Generation observations. Emphasis is placed on recalibration techniques, uncertainty characterization, and preservation of geophysical consistency over time.
