Meet Rayference at VH-RODA 2026
Simulated aerial view of a 3D synthetic scene over Pisa (Italy), generated with DTE-S2GOS and rendered with Eradiate.Rayference will attend the 7th Very High-resolution Radar & Optical Data Assessment (VH-RODA) workshop, held at ESA-ESRIN in Frascati (Italy) from 16 to 20 November 2026.
VH-RODA brings together the New Space, commercial and institutional sectors to discuss Earth observation data quality, calibration and validation. It is the perfect place for us to show how forward 3D radiative transfer modelling can support the New Space industry, from instrument design to Cal/Val in orbit.
With the open-source Eradiate 3D radiative transfer model and the DTE-S2GOS synthetic scene generator and observation simulator, we can:
- simulate what your sensor will see before launch, for any spectral response, resolution, viewing geometry and season;
- generate physically realistic, fully labelled synthetic data to train and test AI models;
- support calibration and validation through vicarious calibration and 3D digital twins of reference sites such as Gobabeb (HYPERNETS, RadCalNet);
- benchmark retrieval and atmospheric correction algorithms against a known truth.

Will you be in Frascati? We would be happy to meet you there, or get in touch to arrange a chat during the week.
